Jr Past Cmdr/Inspector - Navy
John Lewis USN (ret) has been a member of the VFW since 1991 becoming eligible
after serving in Operation Desert Storm. He went on to retire from the US Navy
achieving the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer after numerous worldwide
assignments ultimately landing in San Diego CA where he resides with his wife,
children, and granddaughters. John has served the VFW in 3 different states at
various leadership positions and currently is a member of Post 7420 Don Diego.
He continues to serve while employed at the County of San Diego where he works
as a Senior County Veterans Service Representative providing State and Federal
benefits to Veterans and dependents.
